SBI Clerk Job Profile: 

The works of an SBI Clerk include front desk work as well as customer handling operations. SBI Clerk Role and Duties

Single Window Operator (SWO):

  2. Giving acknowledgment in the counterfoil like the receipt of cheques, dividend warrants, paying of orders, drafts, etc.

Head Cashier (HC):

The duty of the HC is to involve the bank’s cash or other valuables in safe custody jointly with the officer. The HC is also responsible to run the cash department.
  1. Verification of endorsements/ vernacular signatures.
  2. Countersigning cheques/ drafts (on correspondence or selves), deposit reaccepts, payment orders, etc.
  3. Attend the Government Treasury work.
  4. In cleaning and transferring the cheques, the HCs are in charge.
  5. Pass independently the clearing and transfer cheques and vouchers (either it is credit or debit) and also cash vouchers.
Special Assistants (SA):

  4. Update the passbooks.

Agricultural Assistants:

The roles and responsibilities of the Agricultural Assistants have been discussed in the following:

  1. To assist in the banking lending/ operations for agricultural development and for financial assistance to the small scale firms (other than the small scale industries). For instance, small-scale firms like fruit vendors, self-employed persons, vegetables, artisans, etc.
